These three pictures show the different stages of repair from an overactive dog and his favorite chair leg.  First, I cleaned out the debris from the gash in the wood.  Next, filled with an epoxy resin.  Let harden and sand to shape.  Next, add color including grain lines and distress marks. Finally, top coat with dead flat lacquer.  Good as new.
